Kawagoe Sobukan is a dojo in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture, which opened in 1979. It is a branch dojo of the Japan Sobudo Federation, which has about 50 organizations in Japan and abroad, and teaches aikido and iaido of the Nakamura school of Takeda-ryu (Takeda-ryu Nakamura-ha).
As of April 2025, the children's class include elementary and junior high school students, and the adult class include high school students to those in their 70s, with people of all ages, male and female, practicing actively across generations.
Most of our members start with no martial arts experience.

Takeda-ryu Nakamura-ha is a modern-day school that carries on the Takeda-ryu, the martial arts of the Takeda family of Kai (present-day Yamanashi Prefecture). Its martial arts include aikido, iaido, jodo, jukenpo, and many others.
One of the main features of our school is the introduction of matches. Nakamura Hisashi head family of a school succeeded in turning budo into a competition after many trials, leading to the acquisition of polished and practical techniques.
